Many users create service specifications with Excel©. But what do you do if you need these data in a GAEB format? With GAEB-Online 2023, data from Excel© or OpenOffice can be converted into a GAEB format.
- Excel service specifications of architects and planners to be converted into GAEB D81 or GAEB D83.

Excel© or OpenOffice©
GAEB-Online 2023 converts an Excel or OpenOffice table into a GAEB file and displays it as a GAEB XML file in X80 format. From there, the file can be saved via GAEB-Online 2023 in any other required GAEB format of the exchange phases D81 to D86, as GAEB 90, GAEB 2000 or GAEB DA XML.
Besides Excel©, files from OpenOffice or LibreOffice in *.ods format can of course also be converted into a GAEB format.

Simple conversion
from Excel to GAEBWhen converting data, the user is supported by an import assistant in GAEB-Online 2023. It allows to import the data from Excel© with different options in three steps. The conversion into the GAEB format is done automatically by GAEB-Online 2023.

The Excel file or OpenOffice file needs a fixed column structure. During installation, a sample Excel file is installed on your computer. You can simply use this sample file as a template for your data.

With this file you can try out the functions and you can also use this sample file as a template file for your data. The file is available for Excel© in *.xlsx format and for Openoffice in *.ods format.
